Our Pre-Toddler group is for children that are not yet two but are walking confidently and are normally down to the one midday sleep. The program is delivered by a degree qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher who sets this based on the interests of the children and their learning and development needs.  They are supported to develop their self-help skills that provide them with confidence in their ability to try new things and build their self-esteem and pride in their independence.

The children in this group are encouraged to sit at table and feed themselves as well as sleep on a mattress on the floor as way to assist in the development of their self-help skills.

When a child turns 2, or is developmentally ready to move to the Toddler group they will transition to join the older children.

Our youngest children are cared for in our Infant Group that spend the majority of their day in the Cottage, a welcoming, cosy and relaxed space designed especially for children aged under 12 months.
 
During the day the children’s individual needs are met as per their own routines along with the opportunity to engage in learning and development experiences set by our degree qualified Infant Early Childhood Education Teacher.  Children are supported to develop their own self-help skills, especially around eating and drinking.
 
Our staff for this age group is made up of a consistent team with the majority of the staff working 4-5 days a week with well over 50 years of combined experience.
 
Children are moved from this group to the Pre-Toddlers once they have begun to walk confidently, are down the one midday sleep, and are emotionally ready for the move to a larger environment.
