Our Junior Preschool caters for the children aged 3-4 years and is led by degree qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher based at our ELC on Mount Barker Rd Stirling. The Program is play based following the Early Years Learning Framework and Reggio Emilia principles that incorporate the children’s interests. Regular assessment of each child’s learning and development is undertaken and shared with the family via written reports, face to face interviews and updates to their online documentation portfolio.

Throughout the year the Junior Preschool is normally split into two smaller groups for the meeting times with the Teacher and deeper understanding of the group inquiry projects. These groups are split mainly on age to meet the developmental requirements of the children but can be adjusted to meet individual needs. There are plenty times throughout the day where the children are able to choose between indoor and outdoor activities that are based around their developmental needs.
